When a company or individul buys any compatible or remanufacturerd ink cartridges or laser toners, manufacturers such as HP, Lexmark, Epson, Canon etc loose money. To stop this they do bring out products in the market place that would make ink cartridge recyclers such as us difficulty and problems. But like most things we love challenges.
In 2007/8 Lexmark were taken to court and were ordered to ensure that their cartridges and toners are able to be recycled. Well have they listened to that order NO!
Latest development is what is really concerning myself. Now this concern is not just that we are loosing money on the ability to recycle the cartridge, but the greater impact this is having on our environment.
This is Bold and strong comment. So why do I beleive this to be?

are available in two different versions. Above cartridges and “A” version cartridges.
Above Lexmark ink cartridges are not refillable. But the “A” versions are. We are one of the largest distributors of Ink cartridges and laser toners, but can we hack get the “A” version cartridges at all. NO!
Which means Lexmark does not want us to refill their cartridges and in return cause greater impact on our environment.
The reason why their above cartridges can’t be refilled is because as the ink is running low, printer starts to burn some part of chip and hence this makes it impossible to be reused. Naturally people are sending this cartridges back to Lexmark, but even they can’t recycle. This is causing huge impact as the plastic used in the manufacturing process will take about 1000 years to decompose.
With latest development in this technology it is concerning that may be other manufacturers might start to copy this technology and this in return will have even bigger impact on our planet.
Before you go out and buy any Lexmark printers, stop and ask yourself and do research first to see if the cartridges are able to be recycled or not. You might not use any refilled or remanufactured cartridges. You might only buy Original branded products. But your decision will impact on our planet and this impact is long lasting.
Please Think – Please Recycle!
